We are seeking to recruit a Team Leader to join our Inpatients Team Leaders within the Acute & Urgent Care Division.
The role will be based at Kingfisher Court in Radlett or Albany Lodge in St Albans.
The design of our wards has drawn upon international best practice to create a healing and therapeutic environment to support people on their recovery journey from mental illness. All rooms have en-suite facilities giving service users greater privacy and dignity. Service users will have support from an experienced clinical team and access to meaningful activities both indoor and outdoor.

Main duties of the job
You will be an experienced Mental Health clinician (Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) with excellent assessment and risk management skills who is able to embrace and drive change and innovation.
We are looking for a skilled and intuitive communicator with experience of providing leadership. You will work directly with the Service Manager who will provide support, development, and direction alongside other leadership colleagues.
You will know the importance of providing high-quality supervision and of working together with staff and the wider management team in providing supportive, effective, and coordinated leadership to the team in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for service users and carers.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
* RNMH/RNLD/RMN
* Degree with experience of post-graduate level study or the equivalent experience
* Evidence of management or leadership development
* NMC
* Teaching/training experience
AREAS OF EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
* Management of staff in a multiprofessional setting
* Extensive post-registration experience, at band 5 and band 6
* Detailed awareness of issues in inpatient service areas - legislation, DoH guidance, NPSA, PEAT, CQC, NHSLA, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act including an understanding of standards
* Ability to provide clinical supervision, appraisal, preceptorship, and staff support methods
* Knowledge in current developments in mental health or learning disabilities care
* Experience of working in other care settings
