About the role (External)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Distribution Administrator! In this role, you'll be responsible for undertaking desktop surveys for buried services information (usually covering buried pipe and cable assets), owned by both external utility companies and Network Rail. These survey packs help support the effective delivery of design activities, maintenance work and safe construction practices across the national railway network. You will research utility information using mapping applications and websites, liaising with our customers and external utility companies to help create and maintain an up-to-date picture of buried utility assets present on, or near, the railway. You will be part of a team working in a busy and agile working environment.
The ideal candidate will:

* Be a confident self-starter with IT systems and applications, demonstrating a good level of experience with Microsoft Office software and PDF-related applications.
* Be able to display knowledge and experience of reading and interpreting maps to navigate to physical locations and identify objects of interest.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support in the delivery of our services.
