An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse position within Barnsley Hospital's forward-thinking busy 28-bedded Surgical Ward.
Ward 35 is a mixed surgical ward which specializes in emergency and elective general surgery, colorectal, urology, and ENT.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Leading and supporting a team of nursing staff in providing patient-centered care.
2. Coordinating day-to-day activities within the ward, ensuring smooth operations.
3. Supporting pre- and post-operative care for a range of surgical patients.
4. Acting as a clinical role model, mentoring junior staff and students.
5. Implementing clinical guidelines and maintaining patient safety.
