Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineering Main Contractor
A Senior Project Managers role has been created to join a Global Tier 1 Main Contractor on a permanent basis on a multibillion-pound project in North Somerset.
The project involves excavating and building a new complex tunnel to provide power supply for a major new build nuclear facility.
As the appointed Senior Project Manager, you'll lead and mentor a team to delivering excellence meeting customer and project objectives while managing constraints in time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits. Your leadership will ensure success of project delivery.
Responsibilities of the role:
* Create and produce a programme of works, and detailed schedules.
* Create and develop construction methodology, SSHEQ procedures, RAMS and ITP’s.
* Resource the best labour, subcontractors and plant to deliver the works.
* Work with the commercial team to develop forecast budgets and manage cost.
For this role you will need the following experience:
* Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering or relevant professional experience
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS, & CSCS)
* Experience of managing large-scale civil engineering projects. (Ideally within tunnelling.)
* Strong knowledge of standard contract forms and their application.
* Skilled in commercial and project management communication.
This is a permanent position based on site so you'll need to live within a commutable distance of the Bridgewater / Taunton area.
Due to the nature of the projects previous experience of working on a major Infrastructure project is essential and ideally experience within tunnelling.
