Grade 6 Point 3 FTE £30,220
Actual salary £26,147 Key accountabilities in conjunction with the Head of Year and Deputy Head of Year:
• Help raise the aspirations of all students.
• Help contribute to high levels of student attendance and punctuality.
• Be a point of contact for students and families when personal matters affect learning and progress.
• Support students’ progress by actively engaging to improve student attendance where it has fallen below 95%.
• Work with agencies in school and beyond to support students and their families.
• Help maintain school records on attendance, progress, interventions and communications for evaluation, accountability and statutory purposes.
• Work within school systems on safeguarding and communication to inform teaching and non-teaching staff about issues affecting students’ progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to students’ personal development as a mentor and coach.
• Work as an effective member of the pastoral team in the daily management of the Student Support Centre.
• Work with parents, as necessary, to engage them in their child’s education and support their child’s achievement.
• Promote positive attitudes to learning and behaviour for learning with vulnerable students.
• Liaise with SEND Department, as necessary, to ensure the best cohesive support packages are in place for the most vulnerable students.
• Uphold and promote the values and ethos of the school.
• Ensure an effective handover of key information and data for Year 11 to Year 12 transition.
• To support the effective transition from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5.
• To monitor the Sixth Form Café, Glennie and other Sixth Form student areas ensuring high standards of student conduct and behaviour.
