Mechanical Fitter - Water Industry Projects - Field Service Role
Salary: up to £40,000 basic + Overtime

J3A Recruitment are proud to be working with a highly innovative and successful Mechanical & Process Engineer business who continue to succeed and grow their group within the water sector.
Due to a healthy pipeline of work through key framework partners, they're looking to build their mechanical division and are looking to employ further Mechanical Fitters / Service Engineers to help with the demand. For the right people, they can find themselves working on some fantastic projects around the UK and play a key role in the delivery of mechanical projects.
The role of Mechanical Fitter
1. Undertake Mechanical Installation of plant & equipment.
2. Carry out installation of equipment spares.
3. Work closely with site managers on M&E installations works across various projects.
4. Support the project delivery team in the effective delivery and installation of projects on site during installation and commissioning phases.
5. Support the delivery team with quality control during fabrication and assembly phases of the project and carry out inspection visits to supplier and subcontractor premises as required.
6. Ensure adherence to Risk Assessments, Method Statements and permits to work.
7. Liaising with subcontractors / clients as required by the contract.
The ideal Mechanical Fitter
1. Previous experience in the Water Industry is highly beneficial.
2. Trained to NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar (can be flexible, experience is the key!).
3. Appropriate CSCS card.
4. Previous experience working in a Field Service role as the work is spread around various areas of the country.
5. Hands-on experience with equipment like pumps, motors, blowers, valves, mixers, vessels, chem dosing equipment would be highly advantageous.
6. Happy and able to carry out work both in the workshop and on site. Split of 50/50 from workshop to site work.
