We are looking for a number of experienced administrators to take positions within our teams supporting Public Safety and Regulation at the Civic Centre and Taxi Licensing, at Wincomblee Road, Walker. Some aspects of these roles include:
1. Working in a reactive, fast-paced environment the roles supporting Taxi Licensing involve working between a busy front-line reception and back-office environment, with the ability to deal with customers both face to face and on the telephone.
2. You will process all aspects of licensing applications and related tasks accurately to tight deadlines using a number of in-house and external systems/methods.
3. Tasks also include the management of email accounts, call handling of a very busy phone line, coordinate the booking of MOT schedule tests and a number of other related tasks.
We also have a role working in a back-office environment supporting a variety of tasks accurately to tight deadlines using in-house and external systems/methods. Aspects of the role include:
1. logging and allocation of service requests,
2. management of email accounts,
3. telephone call handling,
4. support with various aspects of Licensing work, food safety, complaints, Building Control,
5. support with the preparation of legal files, land charge searches,
6. reception cover off site, as well as a number of other tasks.
The successful candidates need to have excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to multi-task during busy periods as well as pass information and liaise effectively with colleagues and officers to process applications, log information and carry out tasks accurately using a number of in-house systems/methods to collect and process data.
The roles also require excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with, at times, challenging situations, which could be face to face and on the telephone, taking accurate information, whilst checking and updating electronic systems.
You should have the ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities with statutory deadlines. You will need to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams and email, and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
These posts work in a generic pool of Business Support staff and could, if needed, be placed in various areas to support departments across the city. These positions might also be required to move location, as needed, in line with business needs.

Previous knowledge and experience would be advantageous but full training will be given.
