Hours: 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Dependent Upon Experience plus competitive bonus scheme

Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, we are looking for a committed, ambitious, highly motivated B2B Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team. Working within our UK based team, you will have the ability and focus to drive our company to higher attainment as we look to aggressively grow our chemical sales within the UK and abroad.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong people skills and a proven track record to develop new opportunities. Experience of chemical sales and a scientific technical background would be a distinct advantage; however, a strong belief and ability to demonstrate a history of business development growth are key essentials.
Key tasks:
1. Researching businesses, individuals, and industry trends to identify, engage and win new business.
2. Contacting and meeting with new clients.
3. Preparing presentations and sales material to support delivering new business objectives.
4. Ability to align our product offering and services to the needs of new clients.
5. Sell through discovery and providing new solutions.
6. Enabling buying through making it easy for customers to trade with us.
7. Contacting and presenting to new or “warm” leads through sales calls/ visits.
8. Attending conferences, exhibitions, or on-site customer visits both within the UK and internationally.
9. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment ensuring that both departmental and individual targets are adhered to.
10. Producing, creating, and completing internal and external reports.
11. Supporting the wider sales team.
12. Be an ambassador for the company with a customer-facing role.
Special Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
1. Educational Background: A degree in chemistry or a related field is often preferred.
2. Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales, particularly in the chemicals or related industries, is highly valuable.
3. Business Acumen: Strong skills in market analysis, strategy development, and financial forecasting are important for identifying opportunities and driving growth.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with clients, negotiating deals, and presenting ideas.
5. Networking Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
6. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse customer needs and propose effective solutions.
7. Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated on industry changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
