Today, this firm handles up to 16,500 moves a week with a fleet of over 1,600 vehicles and employs 3,000+ highly flexible staff and drivers across 40 locations, from prime port to inland locations.
Responsibilities
* Dealing with multiple drivers
* Communicating with ports
* Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
* Using a transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers' start times and finish times
* Chasing drivers for ETAs and making sure they are on time
* Rerouting jobs as and when needed
* Checking all PODs are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
* Speaking to customers on possible delays advising ETAs
Skills Required
* Previous experience as a Traffic Operator – Essential
* Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
* Excellent UK geographical knowledge
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Quick and efficient problem-solving skills
* Organised at all times
* Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday shifts (daytime) Waiting on start time – between 6-8am start
