Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Girls’ PE Teacher to join our highly regarded PE faculty for a 12-month maternity cover, starting in September 2025.
Our school takes great pride in its Physical Education provision, offering a wide range of sports to engage and inspire our pupils.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated teacher who can continue our tradition of excellence in PE, delivering high-quality lessons that promote skill development, teamwork, and a lifelong love of sport.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons for pupils aged 11-16. Contribute to a broad curriculum, covering a variety of sports and activities.
Support extracurricular clubs, teams, and inter-school competitions.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Work collaboratively with the PE faculty to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
A commitment to promoting health, fitness, and teamwork.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A passion for engaging students of all abilities in physical activity.
