We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to work within a busy Credit Control department at our Head Office in Lutterworth on a hybrid basis. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the collection of an alphabetically split aged debt. We are looking for someone who works well as part of a team, is self-motivated with an outgoing positive attitude, and committed to fulfilling our business objectives.
In return, you will receive a salary up to £27,770 (dependent on experience), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Westfield Health Cash Plan, Life Assurance, Auto enrolment pension scheme, and Lifestyle benefits - discounted high street stores.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 am to 5:30 pm, Hybrid working 4 days in the office & 1 day at home.
You will be responsible for:
1. Cash Collection (Pro-active through to litigation) by telephone, email and dunning letters.
2. Dispute Management
3. Ensuring compliance with our risk insurance policy
4. Ongoing credit and risk assessment to reduce the probability of bad debt
5. Controlling customer account balances against credit limits
6. Weekly, monthly and ad-hoc management reporting
7. Implementing action plans to facilitate the collection of overdue and overexposed balances
8. Referral of accounts to a debt recovery specialist should internal collection efforts fail
The successful candidate will have:
1. Previous experience within a Credit Control or similar environment
2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
3. Computer literate
4. Attention to detail
5. Ability to prioritise workload and meet given deadlines
6. Thrives under pressure
