We are actively looking for a dedicated and skilled Lead Welder Fabricator to join our client who would be responsible for both hands-on welding and fabrication work as well as overseeing a team of welders. This role involves supervising daily operations on-site, liaising with clients, ensuring jobs are completed to the highest standards, and adhering to safety regulations.
Key Duties:
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks with a focus on TIG welding of stainless steel and other metals (1.5mm and upwards).
* Oversee a team of welders, providing guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship.
* Manage on-site operations, including compliance with safety protocols and site-specific requirements.
* Interpret and work from technical drawings to fabricate and fit pipes and other components.
* Operate workshop machinery, including press brakes, guillotines, rolls, and bandsaws.
* Ensure all work is completed on time, to the required standard, and in line with client specifications.
Job Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of welding experience.
* Experience with sheet metal work.
* Strong understanding of the day-to-day operations of an engineering/ fabrication workshop.
* Proficient in TIG welding stainless steel and other metals.
* Strong fabrication and pipefitting skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations and practices.
* Experience with workshop machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, rolls, and bandsaws.
* Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, teamwork, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Pay and Benefits:
* Up to £42,000 per annum
* 29 days holiday including bank holidays.

Shifts:
* Monday to Friday
* 08:00 – 17:30. (Occasionally extra hours are required at short notice due to customer requirements and will be paid at an enhanced rate)
