The Role
:
You will deliver timely and accurate bookkeeping services, manage ledgers, and produce management accounts.
Duties:
1. Prepare quarterly and monthly management accounts.
2. Manage purchase ledger, sales ledger, and nominal ledgers.
3. Oversee bookkeeping and data processing using client accounting systems.
4. Conduct regular reconciliation of control accounts.
5. Process monthly journals and adjustments.
6. Prepare and submit VAT returns.
7. Complete client assignments to required standards.
8. Compile management accounts files and reporting packs.
9. Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial evaluations.
10. Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems.
11. Train clients and junior team members.
12. Prepare year-end accounts and audit schedules.
Requirements:
13. Previously worked as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
14. Ideally have experience working in accountancy practice.
15. Skilled in IT including Excel and accounting software.
16. Up-to-date technical knowledge.
17. Ability to convert options into recommendations.
18. Clear documentation and reporting abilities.
