The Employee Relations Assistant will provide a professional customer focused service to managers and staff as the first point of contact for the Employee Relations team, dealing with routine queries and prioritising/escalating issues to the Senior ER Advisors as appropriate.
They will assist in the administration and co-ordination of employee relations matters including informal and formal investigations/ meetings/ hearings and take formal notes.
The ER Assistant will administer the job evaluation and employment policies processes alongside projects and other duties commiserate with the role.
They will also support the Wellbeing and Inclusion team in the administration and delivery of initiatives, activities, engagement and events, as and when required.
There is the opportunity for the successful candidate to be supported to develop and undertake Level 3 or 5 CIPD as an apprentice.
• Review and action communications for the Employee Relations team, providing basic advice and support to managers on terms and conditions and the Trust’s written employment policies .
• Act as the first port of call for enquiries related to HR advice, providing routine advice and referring on to the Senior ER Advisors as appropriate.
• Provide administrative support in arranging formal and informal meetings with multiple stakeholders including support in drafting and populating letters for meetings.
• Responsible for taking and transcribing minutes.
• Act as dedicated point of contact for staff going through investigations or processes for support and guidance.
• Maintain accurate employee relations records in ESR in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• To promote the principles of equality and diversity in all aspects of HR practice.
• To support as and when required in the coordination and delivery of the wellbeing and inclusion activities and events.
• Maintain information on the staff Intranet.
• Support and facilitate the administration of the job evaluation process.
• Maintain the employment policies and administration of the process including contributing to policy review.
• To respond to subject access and freedom of information requests,
