An exciting opportunity has opened in the Respiratory Unit to recruit on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave for a Band 2 Admin/Receptionist post.

You need to be able to adapt to change and be comfortable conversing with the public, as this is a public/patient-facing role.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Checking in patients on Meditech
2. Booking and changing appointments on a routine and urgent basis
3. Creating pathways on Meditech to ensure appropriate appointments
4. Supporting the nurses to ensure audits are up to date
5. Managing stock levels in the department, ordering stock and non-stock items
6. Managing phone calls and answering machine messages to ensure no delays in patient care and timely messages to clinicians

Job Responsibilities
Administration & Clinical Support 28.5 Hours Per Week
Providing a quality and flexible supportive role to the safe care lead, Respiratory nurses, and respiratory department.
Actively participate as part of the team in maintaining and ensuring the preservation of a clean and efficient environment for patients and visitors.
Liaise with internal and external departments, both inside and outside of the healthcare trust.
Provide administrative support to the Respiratory Department.
Work closely with all members of the teams to improve user experience, nursing response times, and service development.
