Are you a skilled Quality Engineer ready to make an impact at a growing scale-up in the semiconductor industry?
With a recent multi-million pound site investment in advanced equipment, there has never been a better time to join the organisation. Working on-site at their Fife-based headquarters, you’ll join a truly world-leading team of professionals – all experts in silicon carbide semiconductors.
What will you be doing?
1. As part of a close-knit team, you’ll take on a varied and supportive role, with the following key responsibilities:
2. Lead and implement company-wide Quality Management Systems to drive continuous improvement.
3. Oversee internal quality metrics to enhance customer satisfaction and boost product yields.
4. Collaborate with teams to improve quality standards, including outgoing quality checks.
5. Manage incoming product material quality control and ensure compliance with Certificates of Conformance.
6. Support external quality certifications, audits, and compliance to drive successful outcomes for the business.
What would make you a great fit?
To thrive in this role, you will want to have the ability to add value quickly and draw from previous experience in a complex product manufacturing environment.
Whilst not exhaustive, meeting the following criteria would make you an excellent fit:
1. Several years of Quality Engineering experience gained in a relevant role.
2. An awareness of Quality Standards (e.g., ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO13485) would be great.
3. Previous experience in monitoring and introducing improvement activity for product yield, scrap and defectivity levels.
4. An understanding of FMEA and Six Sigma principles as they apply to problem solving.
5. A good grounding in project management principles and practices.
