WHAT
Our client Circle Foods is looking for a motivated and ambitious recent business or sales graduate who is looking to kick start their career in international trade with a successful and fast-growing company.
In the Trainee Commodity Trader role, you'll have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the business and in time create your own trading portfolio across current untapped markets.
You will work alongside the trader/s learning the ins and outs of the role such as:
* Assisting traders in their daily activities
* Establishing and developing your own international suppliers and customers over time
* Conducting market research
* Attending Trade Fairs / Exhibitions
Ideally you will also have had some exposure to purchasing, logistics, finance, risk management and sales. You'll be keen to learn, be upskilling daily and be surrounded by expert colleagues who will be supporting you throughout your journey.
WHO
To be successful in this role you'll have a relevant tertiary qualification and be able to demonstrate the combination of a mathematical mindset with a personality to develop strong relationships and get sales over the line. You'll be equally as comfortable monitoring commodity prices and analysing marketing trends with winning clients over with your easy and relatable persona within NZ and abroad. A willingness and ability to travel extensively is key to the role as you develop your knowledge and experience.
You'll also have:

* Have a can-do, motivated attitude to work and life and prepared to go the extra mile
* A current restricted driver's licence at a minimum
