An exciting opportunity for an experienced Client Manager to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Waterlooville, Hampshire.
As part of a highly energetic team, you will play a crucial role, building relationships with a growing client portfolio and delivering key work. This role will be exceptionally exciting to a candidate looking to develop their career.
Duties will include:
1. To prepare, send and submit accounts & tax returns for our clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
2. To communicate with clients via phone, email, social media and in person, including chasing records.
3. To ensure all internal and statutory deadlines are met e.g. - HMRC, SLA etc.
4. To onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio - this will include bookkeeping, compliance etc to then be handed over to the relevant department.
5. To assess and advise clients on their tax position. To optimise and plan the tax efficiency of clients.
6. To review and advise clients on advisory level to include cashflow, budgets, pricing etc.
7. To complete, review and prepare bookkeeping, VAT returns and CIS.
8. To maintain electronic filing of books and records both internally as well as management of client administration and records.
9. To act as liaison between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to deal with and resolve queries.
10. To participate in activities necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment.
11. To manage and maintain your professional development and learning including any relevant CPD required by your professional body.
12. To ensure and update HMRC/Companies House statutory information is accurate.
13. To attend networking events where required.
14. To prepare and execute year-end client meetings.
15. Internal and external training e.g., client bookkeeping training and as applicable as per our company values.
16. To carry out client fee reviews.
Applicants must possess:
1. Must be able to prepare accounts & tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.
2. Must hold membership to a professional body (does not need to be a chartered body).
3. Be confident in providing direct advice to clients. Sound tax knowledge is a must.
4. Be an effective communicator, able to communicate at all levels across the company and to clients directly.
5. Experience working in accounting practice within the last 2 years with at least 3 years accounting practice experience overall.
6. Good standard of verbal and written English.
7. Proficient IT skills (Excel & Word are essential).
8. A sound working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero (desirable).
