Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Slough
Salary: £55,800 - £61,300 (inclusive of shift allowance) + Performance related company bonus + £5,000 welcome bonus
Shifts: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - 12 hour shifts 7 - 7

What are we looking for?
1. Advanced Electrical skills along with intermediate control/automation skills.
2. Electrical Engineering Qualification such as Served Apprenticeship and/or HNC, NVQ or equivalent.
3. Ideally with 18th Edition.
4. Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving Electrical and Control/Automation issues, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
5. Experienced in basic and complex problem solving.
6. An action-oriented, results-driven individual with great customer focus.
7. Experience diagnosing complex PLC faults, preferably Allen Bradley - desirable.
What will be your key responsibilities?
1. You will be responsible for fault diagnosis and resolving technical failures on production machinery.
2. Priority setting supporting breakdowns and focusing where necessary.
3. Detailed reporting and recording of maintenance work using our SAP system.
4. Provide technical support and coaching to assist others in resolution of equipment failures with Safety and Quality in mind.
5. Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen).
6. Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on major unplanned breakdowns and recurring problems.
7. Undertake preventative maintenance activities, repairs, filler jobs etc.
8. Work with engineering on specific electrical and/or controls projects from design to start-up, including HMI/PLC programming/fault diagnostics (predominantly AB), installation, checkout, start-up, and training.
