Unlock your passions @ White Cross Vets Guiseley
Our Guiseley practice is the flagship of Whitecross Vets with head office support based above. Guiseley is a small town located in West Yorkshire, England. It is situated about 8 miles northwest of Leeds city centre with excellent transport links. The town is part of the City of Leeds metropolitan borough. The town is the birthplace of Harry Ramsden’s, a famous fish and chip shop chain in the UK. Guiseley has a railway station that provides regular services to Leeds, Bradford and Ilkley. Guiseley has several parks and green spaces, including Parkinson’s Park and Nunroyd Park.
The practice runs with wellbeing and balance between work and home life at the front of their minds. Our wonderful team is made up of 5 Vets, including our Clinic Director, 7 Nurses and a student nurse. We share a wellbeing session once per month where we have downtime together to relax and have fun. The team are very experienced and passionate about CPD and development of their processes. Guiseley are very proud of our place within the local community. We hold regular team meetings and 1-1's to check in.
We offer Accupuncture within our practice and we have certificate holders in Opthalmology and Imaging.
Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, over 4 days a week. Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 7pm. You may also be required to participate in a weekend rota.
Guiseley have an established and large team and so a new graduate joining us would be given the support and time to develop at their own pace. Initially this would mean extended appointments, down time for case study and follow up - lots of opportunities to shadow our experienced vets in all areas. The long term vision would be very much led by the graduate, we are very open to supporting certificate aspirations as well as further CPD in many areas. The graduate would be assigned a mentor and would have time off diary to spend developing together.
