Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in our Newcastle office.
About the role
Effectively manage office or onsite activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time, to budget and in accordance with Ausenco’s objectives.
Ensure that the project runs according to project plans with appropriately skilled staff available at the required times to complete tasks.
Lead a team of engineers and technical support personnel in completing the assigned scope.
Manage the work in accordance with the project schedule and the project budget.
Manage scope changes and trends – actively identify quantity, cost and time trends and manage the change process.
Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.
Unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve deadlines.
About you
Engineering degree from a recognised tertiary institute or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience working in mining and minerals studies and/or projects.
EPCM/EPC experience including supervision of contractors and field personnel will be looked upon favourably.
Previous experience in process plants and mining projects in operations or construction is essential.
Substantial exposure to project scheduling, planning, cost control, estimating and reporting.
Outstanding communication skills and ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment.
