This vacant post is a part-time role working 27.75 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with the Dispensary for the planning and delivery of pharmaceutical care of Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) patients.
The post holder is contracted to be flexible and mobile to be able to work from RNAS Yeovilton and Commando Training Centre Royal Marines (CTCRM) at short notice (1 working day).
Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
* Provide pro-active advice to all Medical Department staff on medicine management topics, technical information, medication regimes and suggested changes to prescribing.
* Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all Dispensary Operating Protocols.
* Respond to requests for medicines information, drawing on resources of Medicines Information Manager and or Regional Pharmacist when necessary. Medicine information requests should be documented in accordance with United Kingdom Military (UKMi) standards.
* Maintain the integrity and stock of the Dispensary and Pharmaceutical stores in accordance with current regulations and requirements.
* Dispense and issue prescriptions to patients in order to contribute to the Principle Medical Officers (PMOs) standards and objectives.

Person Specification
Registrations and Memberships
* Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Qualifications
* BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or Equivalent NVQ Level III Pharmacy Services.
* Medicines Management Qualification including Drug history taking / medicines reconciliation.
* CPPE Primary Care Pathway or Equivalent.
Experience
* Practical experience of being able to operate in a clinical post.
* Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in Defence.
