Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate and implement health and safety policies across the organisation.
2. Advise project teams and engineers on the day-to-day application of the UK health and safety management system, ensuring compliance and reporting against key metrics.
3. Act as a key point of contact for third-party organisations, including contractors, clients, and enforcement agencies.
4. Prepare and present HSE reports to the senior management team.
5. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the health and safety strategy.
The successful Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality candidate will have:
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in a similar role within utilities, fit-out, refurbishment, or household energy sectors.
2. Desirable: Understanding of Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001.
3. A NEBOSH or NVQ qualification at certificate level (or equivalent).
4. The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
5. Strong technical knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.
This position will require a self-starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running; excellent communication skills are essential.
