Job Description
IT Field Engineer required. My client is a successful IT firm based in Eastleigh. They were established in 2005, and have around 300 customers across a variety of industries therefore the right candidate will gain experience, and knowledge in developing professional relationships with lots of people!
They are now looking for an experienced technician to join their team in a roughly 50% field based, 50% service desk position based heavily on networking.
Position Overview
1. Working on IT Support tickets within their ticketing system
2. Working collaboratively as part of the service desk team to rectify issues/plan resolutions
3. Contracting customers and working on IT issues remotely
4. Traveling to customer sites to work on issues unable to be resolved remotely
5. Installing computers, network equipment and other IT hardware at customer sites
6. Developing skills through independent training, experience and teamwork
7. Helping with projects such as full network installation alongside network infrastructure partner, Windows server installations / replacements, Microsoft 365 installations, and more.
Position Requirements
8. Experience using a ticketing system/PSA & remote support tools
9. Strong understanding of Operating procedures for specific tasks
10. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, 365, Windows Server, MacOS
11. Knowledge of IT applications, software and hardware
12. Internet connectivity troubleshooting / understanding of VoIP
13. Full UK driving license (Mileage is paid)
14. Knowledge of RMM software, Azure, MSP environment – not essential
15. IT Certificate – not essential
16. A love for IT and can work well in a team
17. Excellent customer service skills and highly motivated

Position Remuneration
19. Monday to Thursday (32 hours a week)
20. Salary £21,000 – £25,000 DOE
21. 25.5 days annual leave (including bank holiday)
