The Role: We are looking for a talented and motivated Electronics & Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, testing, supporting and prototyping electrical and electronic systems. In this role, you will also conduct electrical/electronic analyses of products, systems and sub-components and produce technical documentation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for the Subsea and Rail environments. Key Responsibilities Include: Take the lead on technical work packages for the department. Sustain and develop products and test equipment to meet customer and internal requirements. Generate product/system design documentation, including (but not limited to) specifications, test procedures, block diagrams, and schematics. Evaluate electrical/electronic systems, products, components and applications. Technically support our lab, supply chain, quality teams, and supply chain partners. Undertake testing, evaluation, modification and re-testing of products/solutions. Work with cross-functional teams to transfer new products/systems into commercial solutions. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field. Detailed understanding and/or appreciation of electrical and electronic principles. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. Experience in Altium Designer desirable. Experience in SolidWorks Electrical and Mechanical desirable. Desirable, but not essential: Knowledge of BS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations. Knowledge of the requirements of IPC-A-620, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-00. Experience developing embedded software or application software. Experience developing software scripts. Experience in the following software languages: C and Python. Appreciation of embedded software and embedded systems. Experience of working with MRP and ERP systems.
