Job purpose
I am looking for someone to assist me with things that I cannot do myself. I am also looking for companionship and someone to help me in my home and garden and to watch TV together and have a good chat.
About me
I am 64 years old. I live alone in my adapted bungalow, and I have 2 cats. I also have 2 other PAs and my sister and niece who are also involved in my life. I get around in my electric wheelchair and adapted car. My medical conditions are Friedreich's Ataxia, Scoliosis and Type 2 Diabetes. I have overhead hoists to assist PAs.
I love to go out and about and my interests include music, football, sports in general, photography, movies, wildlife, socialising and my garden. I have the full package Sky TV, which I enjoy.
I am a non-smoker. I have my own wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Personal Care
Changing Pads when needed
Helping with my cats
Shopping
Taking me on days out
Bed time between 10pm and 11pm (assisting into bed from wheelchair)

Hours, days and times of work: flexible mainly evening- possibility of day shifts to cover sickness and holiday, up to 23.5 hours per week. Bedtime is 10pm-11pm.
Pay rate: £13.00 per hour day rate, £14.00 per hour night rate
Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.
Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
Employees will be responsible to me as the employer.
