Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sales Estimator EMEA – DATABAR located in Westmoreland Business Park, Kendal.
Reporting to the Sales Director EMEA - DATABAR, you will work in close collaboration with the Sales team to prepare and manage the sales estimation process from receipt of enquiry through to order generation. The role will involve direct engagement with the client to ensure all aspects of the solution are captured correctly within the commercial offer. A key part of the role will be to support the sales team at hand-over process, and engage with Project Management, Supply Chain, Production and Logistics teams.
What a typical day looks like:
1. Estimating the entire range of DATABAR products
2. Managing enquiries and meeting deadlines
3. Liaising with clients over the phone and email to pre-qualify requirements
4. Building & maintaining effective working relationships with client, colleagues and any other associated third party
5. Promoting all Anord Mardix products/services, expanding of our customer base including improving the design of our products, services and client liaison as required
6. Assisting with sales administrative tasks as required
7. Assisting other Anord Mardix departments so they can efficiently manage Projects to maximize profits for the company
8. Carry out routine follow-ups with clients and other key stakeholders
9. Work with the external sales team to secure new orders and win new business
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
10. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills with high levels of numeracy and literacy skills
11. Candidates must be proficient in the day-to-day use of Microsoft based operating systems and the Office suite (Outlook / Word / Excel)
12. Sector specific experience will be considered beneficial however any requisite training will be provided
13. Estimators must be driven, good forward planners and are often required to make decisions/valuations in relation to budget costs from limited information
14. Ability to manage time appropriately to meet requested deadlines
