Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs across the primary school. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, working closely with the classroom teacher to ensure that the students’ academic, emotional, and social needs are met. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs. Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of students. Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to regular reviews. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and confident. Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to the classroom teacher. Encourage the development of both academic and personal skills in students, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed. Work closely with other teaching assistants and support staff to deliver a cohesive and effective educational experience. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in an SEN setting, is highly desirable. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children who have special educational needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
