We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as NHS Liaison and Assessment Administrator within the School of Medicine undergraduate department. This is a busy department providing administrative support for a range of learning, teaching and assessment activities required to deliver the portfolio of undergraduate degrees, including Gateway, BMSc and the professional MBChB degrees.
You will join a supportive team under the direction of the Undergraduate Lead. We are a fast-paced and diverse team who pride ourselves on providing an effective and efficient support service to a range of stakeholders. You will support all aspects of assessment, with a focus on ensuring assessments are adequately resourced, working closely with professional services and academic leads in assessment.
Based in Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world-class research facilities. There may be a need to travel to other Dundee University campuses, St Andrews and to other regions in Scotland on occasion.
Your priorities will include:
* Recruit and support training of suitable staff and students for all medical school undergraduate assessments and applicant interviews
* Develop strong relationships with NHS and the Directorate of Medical Education and be an effective liaison between the medical school and stakeholders involved in assessment delivery
* Coordinate the delivery of the Year 2 and 3 Student Selected Component (SSC) programme
* Support delivery of the medical school's staff development programme
* Adhere to internal and external quality standards in teaching and assessment
* Support a cross-cover approach within the undergraduate team
Who we're looking for:
* Excellent ability to communicate to a range of audiences including via email, in person and social media
* A dynamic individual with a naturally resilient and solution-focused approach to challenges
* Ability to work under minimal supervision while managing competing demands and use initiative where appropriate
* Excellent organisational skills with a robust working knowledge of O365 packages, including Excel
* A desire to deliver to a high standard and the ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
