Salary: £83.33 – £95.00 per day

We are seeking Special Needs Teaching Assistants to support students with a range of additional needs in schools across Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Prior experience and knowledge of SEN is essential for this role.
Your Role As An SEN Teaching Assistant
1. Adapting learning materials to meet individual student needs, following lesson plans provided by the class teacher.
2. Supporting students' physical, social, and emotional well-being.
3. Using creative and engaging methods to enhance learning.
4. Collaborating with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.
5. Providing personal care when required to ensure students’ well-being.
What We’re Looking For
1. At least 6 months of experience in an education or healthcare setting.
2. Experience supporting children, young people, or adults with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities.
3. A willingness to provide personal care when needed.
4. A genuine passion for helping individuals with additional needs gain independence.
5. A Level 2 Or Higher Qualification, Such As
* Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass background safer recruitment checks, including an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
