Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with various needs, ensuring their well-being and helping them lead fulfilling lives. This role involves assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care:
o Assist individuals with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
o Support with toileting and continence management.
o Help with mobility and physical activities.
* Daily Living Support:
o Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and promoting healthy eating habits.
o Support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
o Help individuals manage their medication and attend medical appointments.
* Emotional and Social Support:
o Provide companionship and build positive relationships with individuals.
o Encourage participation in social, recreational, and educational activities.
o Support individuals in maintaining contact with family and friends.
* Promoting Independence:
o Empower individuals to make choices and decisions about their lives.
o Encourage and support the development of skills for independent living.
o Assist with budgeting and financial management.
* Health and Safety:
o Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals.
o Follow health and safety guidelines and report any concerns.
o Administer first aid and respond to emergencies when necessary.
* Record Keeping and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
o Report any changes in individuals’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
o Participate in care planning and review meetings.
