UK Research and Innovation Director of HR Business Partnering - UKRI £91,943 - £99,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience) Full time, Open Ended Swindon - Hybrid working available; with regular travel to UKRI locations Closing Monday 10th March 2025 (23:59) Interviews are expected to be held in person towards the end of March 2025 The Role We are seeking an experienced HR Leader to join us as the Director of HR Business Partnering. In this business-critical role, you will lead a team of 16 HR Business Partners, supporting leaders across UKRI to maximise the potential of our 8,500 people. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will be responsible for delivering outstanding strategic HR business partnering across UKRI. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of HR Business Partners to meet organisational priorities and drive people, organisation, and culture change. Collaborate with HR Operations and Centre's of Expertise to deliver a consistent, responsive, and efficient HR service. Develop and implement people-related change strategies aligned with UKRI's people strategy. Act as the HRBP for senior stakeholder engagement across all Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs) and with Council Chairs and Chief Operating Officers (COOs). Ensure HR strategies, policies, and plans are consistently developed and implemented to meet business objectives. Manage the HR Business Partnering annual budget and ensure governance, compliance, and risk control. Provide expertise in change management and organisation design. Manage relationships with Trade Unions and represent HR in internal and external forums to ensure best practices. CIPD membership (Chartered or Fellow) and/or equivalent relevant professional experience. Experience in leading strategic HR Business Partnering in complex public sector/government or large-scale unionised organisational settings. Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders. Proven people management skills with the ability to inspire and provide direction and support.
