Working in a very friendly and supportive Child Health department, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join an established and expanding multidisciplinary team. As a member of a dedicated and supportive multi-disciplinary team, including other Clinical Psychologists, you will have the support & supervision of colleagues from a variety of disciplines, with opportunities to develop particular interests relevant to child & adolescent mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
The team has a number of options available for flexible and hybrid working, including home-working with appropriate IT equipment and support. The team has dedicated office and clinic space as well as administrative support.
Main duties of the job
You will be an active, autonomous member of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist autism assessment services to children, young people and families across North Derbyshire. Your role will include:
1. Supporting and providing highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations and post-diagnostic support for autistic children/young people and their families.
2. Providing specialist knowledge and expert advice and support about autism to the Child Health care unit.
3. Carrying out complex neuropsychological assessments for children and young people with neurological conditions.
4. Being a member of a multi-disciplinary Child Health service and leading/contributing to service developments around the delivery of neurodevelopmental assessments and post-diagnostic support.
5. Advising on and supporting the delivery of evidence-based interventions for autistic young people, working closely with colleagues in Child Health and CAMHS.
6. Providing clinical supervision and management of staff within the Child Development Psychology Team.
