We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teachin Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism at our primary school in Worcester. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a young student, helping them thrive both academically and socially in a supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism, ensuring their specific learning needs are met Develop and implement strategies to support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development Work closely with the school’s SENCO and other staff to tailor lessons and resources to support the student’s individual needs Foster an inclusive and nurturing environment, promoting independence, confidence, and positive behavior Monitor and track the pupil’s progress, providing feedback to the leadership team and adjusting strategies as necessary Ensure the pupil feels supported and engaged in their learning, creating a safe and encouraging space for them to succeed Key Requirements: Experience working with children with Autism, particularly in a one-to-one setting A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with young learners Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of the pupil A commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive education and support Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (desirable) What We Offer: Full-time, Monday to Friday role (8:40 AM to 3:20 PM) A supportive and inclusive working environment with an outstanding leadership team The opportunity to work closely with a pupil to make a lasting impact on their learning experience Long-term contract with the potential for a permanent position Competitive salary and benefits package If you are an experienced and caring SEN teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners, we would love to hear from you
