Summary
The Senior Commercial Broker role will be based out of the Colchester office. The role will require you to deliver New Business quotations using different methods to generate leads from client facing to over the phone or even via emails to help exceed sales targets. If you are someone who delivers excellent customer service and lead generation is something you thrive on this could be the perfect role for you. In order to be successful you must have good judgement, great attention to detail, ambition to succeed and can use your own initiative when required.
Your role
* Calculate New Business premiums with the specific carrier’s risk appetite and guidelines or consult with insurers for all non-delegated authority business.
* Deliver outstanding customer service whilst meeting customer requirements professionally & effectively for New Business.
* Provide potential solutions to the company and reduce costs by identifying areas for improvement.
* Meet client’s demands and needs by understanding the processes and procedures required to provide quotations.
* Deal with queries by email, telephone and in person ensuring that all SLAs are adhered to.
* Handle complaints in line with the current process and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

* Knowledge of the insurance industry.

* Must have a driver’s licence (mileage will be compensated).
Qualifications & Experience
* Must have 3 years minimum experience working within a broking or underwriting environment.
* Educated to GCSE level an advantage.
* Cert CII qualification not essential but advantageous.
