Warehouse Supervisor
Remuneration: Circa £30K (based on experience)

Job description and responsibilities
The role of the Warehouse Supervisor is to supervise all day-to-day activities in the warehouse, ensuring all activities are carried out effectively and in line with company policy. This role includes key operational administrative tasks linked to stock management and the effective processing of purchase and sales orders.
As a senior person within the Operations department, this individual is expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, involving close cooperation with all internal departments, particularly Sales, Technical Support, and Finance.
Overall Responsibility
1. Supervise all day-to-day activities in the Warehouse
2. Manage the flow of sales orders for dispatch
3. Work with the Operations Manager to help manage stock and other key aspects of the Operations department.
4. Liaise, as required, with key vendors regarding purchase orders and deliveries.
Specific Responsibilities include
1. Sales Order Dispatching: Print dispatch notes and manage the allocation of orders to the warehouse team for dispatch, ensuring dispatches are made accurately and on time. Roll up daily invoices every evening on the system.
2. Purchase Order Processing/Suppliers Liaison: Place orders on suppliers for stock as required based on run-rate, lead times, and MOQ’s. Electronic filing of purchase orders, delivery notes, confirmations, and amendments. Arrange collection of goods/schedule deliveries from Suppliers. Handle Supplier-related queries from Sales. Always work towards reducing Supplier lead times. Update confirmations and amendments from Suppliers. Assist in submitting claims for price protection. Maintain Supplier price lists received each month and system buy prices.
3. Returns & Evaluations: Supervise RMA returns process to ensure smooth running for both Company and customers. Ensure that supplier returns operate within a fortnightly schedule.
4. Stock: Create new part numbers, update and maintain Supplier records as required. Minimize stock obsolescence by keeping very close control from the time of purchase. Initiate stock rotation each month. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies. Ensure safe storage of stock and adherence to safe handling procedures. Maintain inventory of warranty stock. Run the E-bay shop, including putting goods on and changing pricing as required.
5. General Duties: Provide cover for the Operations Manager and other Warehouse personnel when they are absent. Ensure general tidiness and adherence to Health & Safety requirements at all times. Perform any other reasonable work required by the Company.
6. Supervise Configuration and Fulfilment Services: Supervise day-to-day activities in the provisioning area where routers are configured and customized. Liaise with Technical regarding sign-off and implementation of configurations. Liaise with Sales as required regarding such orders. Assist, if required, with configurations, especially if staff are absent.
Qualification and experience required
1. The experience required for the position will typically have been gained from working in a warehousing environment for a minimum of three years:
2. Experience of Sage 200 is very desirable.
3. Experience in using Excel to derive various reports and present data.
4. Should have a current reach truck licence/certificate.
5. Experience in handling a team of minimum 5 people, providing daily supervision, guidance, and motivation as appropriate.
