The company is looking for a Legal Counsel to join a transformative £3bn infrastructure project in Manchester, offering the chance to shape a significant Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide legal advice and oversight on all contractual and regulatory matters related to the project
* Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements under NEC4 contracts
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including joint venture (JV) partners, subcontractors, and government authorities
* Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with the project
* Draft, review, and negotiate a range of contracts, including procurement, construction, and operational agreements
* Support dispute resolution and claims management in collaboration with the team
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations to provide strategic legal support
Requirements:
* Experience: Extensive experience providing legal counsel on major infrastructure projects, particularly within PPP/NEC4 contract frameworks
* Qualifications: Law degree, a qualification as a solicitor is a plus (UK or equivalent jurisdiction)
* Skills: Strong contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and risk management expertise
* Profile: Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder structures and work effectively in high-pressure environments
