We are seeking a Business Analyst for a 12 month FTC focused on Tax. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to analyse changes in legislation and government procedures. The role will require interpreting those changes and documenting how our different software solutions will need to be altered to ensure compliance is maintained for our customers. The focus of the role is on UK Tax regulations and the Making Tax Digital (MTD) government initiative. What will you be doing? Provide statutory tax knowledge and experience to our Engineering team Be aware of any upcoming HMRC changes that will affect the product and our customer base Research and analyze how changes in legislation and compliance affect the product Produce user story acceptance criteria Produce supporting documentation, both internal and external facing Provide product expert testing in areas of expertise Investigate and respond to tier 3 customer queries Collaborate with Agile teams Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements Ensure adherence to internal software processes as required by manager What we are seeking ACCA / ICAEW / AAT or equivalent Accounting qualification desirable High level of competence in at least one of these fields Corporation Tax Partnerships Sole Traders Self Assessment for Individuals, Trusts and Partnerships Making Tax Digital (MTD) Initiative Desired Experience: Experience of using software packages for preparing statutory year end account Tax Returns (IRIS Accountancy Solutions products would be preferable).
