In this pivotal leadership role, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the Humanities department, specializing in either Geography, History, or Religious Education. About the Role: Lead a dedicated team of Humanities teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Develop and implement a stimulating and engaging curriculum across KS3 and KS4, aligned with the National Curriculum. Motivate and inspire students, nurturing their passion for your specialist subject (Geography, History, or RE). Conduct regular assessments, monitor student progress, and implement effective strategies to ensure academic success. Oversee departmental resources and budget, ensuring efficient utilization. Play a key role in departmental development, seeking innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning. Contribute to the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues across different departments. About You: A qualified and experienced teacher with a proven track record of success in a similar leadership role. A specialist in Geography, History, or Religious Education with a deep passion for your subject. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of teachers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
