Job Description
The Role: The Salesforce Solution Architect (SA) designs and manages Salesforce solution engineering. The SA is also in charge of leading the practice and introducing the overall technical vision for Salesforce. The SA leads the work with stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to build a holistic view of the Salesforce strategy and architectural roadmap and ensures that the business and IT are in alignment.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Understanding existing Salesforce configuration and code to see how it supports the business process and policy.
2. Ensure development of application follows defined Salesforce CRM architecture and aligns with enterprise standards.
3. Ensure it balances functional, quality, security, and systems management requirements.
4. Own Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts.
5. Responsible for Salesforce strategies and risks in relation to maintenance, data, integrations, and security.
6. Accountable for the work done by all Salesforce developers, admins, and testers.
7. Drive innovation within Salesforce by creating and identifying reusable components, tools, accelerators, and AppExchange solutions, driving the team's adoption of these accelerators.
8. Evaluate trade-offs with technology and feasibility and make choices that fit the constraints of the project.
9. Communicate concepts, architectures, solution approach options, and evaluations through effective diagrams, written materials, and meetings with the goal to support all stakeholders' understanding and decision-making.
10. Recommend alternate approaches, define technical impacts, and provide high-level sizing estimates.
11. Teaming up with business analysts to ensure Salesforce solutions meet the business requirements.
12. Providing Salesforce training and knowledge sharing.
What BAE Systems are looking for from you:
1. Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience of Salesforce declarative programming techniques and administrative features.
2. Extensive hands-on knowledge and experience of Salesforce coding (APEX, Triggers, Batch Apex, LWC).
3. Experience in data modeling.
4. Experience in managing CI/CD processes.
5. Extensive knowledge of Salesforce, Sales Cloud, and sales processes.
6. Good understanding of Service Cloud is good to have.
7. Knowledge of integrations, 3rd party integration tools, ETL with Salesforce is good to have.
Security Requirements:
BPSS only. This role requires you to obtain a basic disclosure along with employment reference checks before starting.
The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.
