The Head of Finance Project Delivery will be responsible for leading and executing projects across the Finance department. This role will oversee the planning, governance, and successful implementation of finance transformation initiatives, ensuring they align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and Finance processes, along with experience of numerous Finance change initiatives. What you’ll be doing: Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of finance projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Develop and execute finance transformation strategies to improve efficiency, compliance, and reporting accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Operations, HR, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and successful project execution. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance functions, including automation, system enhancements, and process reengineering. Oversee the governance, risk, and compliance aspects of financial projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Provide leadership to project teams operating within a matrix environment, ensuring best practices in project and change management. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and mitigation strategies as needed. Act as a key point of contact between finance and other business units to ensure seamless integration of financial systems and processes. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in finance project management. What you’ll need to have: Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable. Proven experience in leading Finance projects within a complex organization. Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting standards, and compliance requirements. Expertise in project management methodologies and tools. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and across multi-discipline teams. Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process optimization. Experience with ERP systems and finance technology solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
