Retail Customer Service Advisor – Dartford
We are working with an agricultural, construction and ground care machinery dealership in Dartford.
Salary – Competitive
Hours –
39hrs per week basic – 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday.
Saturdays as per rota (8am to 1pm)
Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday
I will consider anyone with a retail background – ideally hardware store or someone with good customer retail service/sales experience. You will be selling a range of parts to customers, but also garden machinery and clothes.
Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day retail sales within the showroom which will include Parts, Hardware and Clothing sales. Your role will be to ensure delivery of excellent customer service at all times by dealing with all queries relating to the products and services supplied by the Company either face to face or over the telephone.
Essential Skills/Experience:
1. Excellent people skills and enjoy working with both trade and general public customers
2. Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
3. Good communication skills: face to face, letter, email and fax
4. Familiarity of working in a retail environment and showroom experience
5. General computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use
6. Good numeracy and literacy skills
7. Sales experience within a retail environment
8. Full driving licence
9. Smart & presentable appearance
10. Motivated by sales and targets
11. Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of cash, cheque and card payments
12. A team player-capable of working alone or with other team staff
13. Able to use own initiative
