Lending Business Development Manager
Location: Gloucestershire – remote + regional travel between Gloucester, Swindon, and Bristol
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time, permanent
Salary: £43,500 + 5% employer contribution pension + 25 days annual leave entitlement rising to 28 after length of service + paid mileage
This is an excellent and unique opportunity for a motivated and driven Lending Business Development Manager to join a rapidly growing and well-established finance organisation and head up business development within the Gloucestershire region.
Our client is an ethical finance institution, whose goal is to grow local SMEs by providing ethical & responsible financial services. Established for almost 25 years, they serve local businesses across the West Country, with the patch for the successful applicant covering the area between Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester, and Bristol (excluding Bristol itself).
They’re looking for a Lending Business Development Manager with experience selling financial services (for instance in a banking setting) to be responsible for the above-mentioned region. This role will involve remote and field-based relationship management & business development, attending networking & business events, and guiding loan applicants through the application and onboarding process. The successful candidate would also have opportunities to progress within the organisation, and with no two days being the same, this is an opportunity not to miss!
The Role
Day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Regularly attend networking events and business seminars to create new opportunities
2. Attend meetings with prospective business clients to sell financial services
3. Be solely responsible for own sales patch and intuitively and independently work to bring on new clients
4. Guide new clients through the application and onboarding process

The Person
Essential:
1. Financial services/lending/banking background
2. Relationship management and/or business development experience
3. Familiar with the above-mentioned area
4. Already have contacts/leads within the above-mentioned area who they can reach out and promote & sell services to
5. Own vehicle and ability to travel around the above-mentioned area
Desirable:
1. Business development/sales experience within a financial services setting
Nice-to-have:
1. Not-for-profit experience
