We are currently hiring for a Human Resources Administrator based out of our office in Victoria, BC. The HR Administrator will report directly to the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for the administration of recruitment, onboarding, safety training, and general HR and Safety support. Compensation for this role is between $42,000 and $55,000 annually.
Responsibilities
1. Providing support for full cycle recruitment including posting open positions, sorting resumes, setting up interviews, reference checking, and creating offer letters.
2. Ensuring onboarding paperwork is complete and following up on missing items.
3. Ensuring employees have positive onboarding experiences and are prepared for their first day.
4. Notifying employees of site changes and updating systems accordingly.
5. Completing exit interviews and reporting on trends.
6. Administering new hire surveys and reporting on trends.
7. Administering the performance management program including tracking and following up to ensure probationary and yearly reviews are completed.
8. Organizing and booking training courses.
9. Tracking and auditing safety certifications.
10. Ordering and distributing cellphones, laptops, and tablets as needed.
11. Assisting with employee engagement events including staff parties, recognition days, lunches, etc.
12. Organizing and maintaining regular safety inspections of the office and yearly fire alarm and extinguisher maintenance.
13. Working closely with payroll to ensure records are up to date and pay information is correct, including submitting paperwork for status changes.
14. Ordering and distributing employee uniforms and tracking inventory levels.
15. Filing and keeping employee records up to date.
16. Other duties as required.
Qualifications
1. One year of experience in an administrative or human resources role required.
2. Diploma or certificate in administration or human resources is an asset.
3. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication, both verbal and written.
4. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
