Manufacturing Engineer Vacancy
The Role:
This role supports manufacturing processes to improve product quality and production efficiency. Responsibilities include applying modern manufacturing methods, promoting continuous improvement, and enhancing engineering practices.
Key duties:
1. Experience with large, complex fabrications.
2. Proven success in delivering manufacturing improvements, including changeover time reduction, cycle time, error-proofing, and fixture design.
3. Analysing quality data to prioritise improvement actions.
4. Creating and managing improvement action plans.
5. Fostering a customer-focused culture to achieve world-class service levels.
6. Coordinating cross-functional teams to enhance plant cost performance through capital investments, lean principles, and waste reduction.
7. Leading problem-solving and process improvement activities, including 8D or similar methods.
8. Providing design for manufacturing input during new product development.
9. Ensuring adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing, and quality standards.
10. Implementing corrective actions to address manufacturing quality and process issues.
Candidate Requirements:
1. HND or Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Background in manufacturing excellence within an industrial environment.
3. SAP planning experience is a plus.
