Job Role: Staff Officer – Contract Management
Pay: £17.94 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Location: Belfast City Centre
Hours: 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday (Work from Home 3 days a week, in-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Duration: 3-6 Months (Possible Extension)

Job Duties:
Integr8 is an exciting, flagship programme that aims to transform the delivery of finance and HR services. The programme focuses on redesigning the integration of people, processes, technology, and data, and investing in new technologies.
Finance and HR services are crucial to the NICS, ensuring financial resources are well-managed, suppliers are paid, payments to the public are distributed, and staff are recruited, developed, and supported. Integr8 seeks to maximise the use of modern technology and digital advances by integrating these services into a single system, automating processes, and reducing manual effort.
This role is part of the Integr8 Business Case & Contract Management Project Team. The main duties include:
1. Supporting the successful delivery and quality outcomes for the workstream within the programme’s timescale and scope, in line with project plans.
2. Planning for and supporting contract management activities within the programme.
3. Contributing to the development of procurement specifications for outsourced payroll services from a contract management perspective and providing input to procurement activities where required.
4. Supporting programme/project governance arrangements for the workstream, including contributing to the development of plans and identifying risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, and managing them appropriately by suggesting mitigating actions or escalating as required.
5. Collaborating effectively within a small team to deliver a coherent approach across multiple contracts while aligning with the wider strategic direction.
6. Working collaboratively with other work streams across the wider programme to ensure that modern, flexible, and integrated solutions are implemented.
Desirable Criteria:
7. Experience as a Contract Management Officer in Public Sector Projects.
Essential Criteria:
8. Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
9. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain a network of colleagues and contacts to achieve business objectives.
10. At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in successfully delivering contract management support within a programme/project management environment.
11. Competence in the use of IT.
12. Proven ability to work independently to achieve business objectives, with a high level of personal drive and motivation to proactively handle varied situations.
13. 5 GCSEs including Maths & English.
14. Degree level education.
15. Basic Access NI Check.
