What you'll be doing
Planning and Allocation of works:
• Review of incoming works to ensure required and information is provided (Job Packs / TM Forms etc)
• Detailed validation of incoming works to include an assessment of information to complete the works and specialist materials or plant requirements
• Liaise with the works originator over any queries
• Interfacing with other Supervisors and construction teams to maximise opportunities for resource sharing
Project specific maintenance activities:
• Attend relevant stakeholder meetings
• Site visits and liaison with clients to determine scope of works
• Communication with residents and members of the Alliance team throughout the works delivery
• Management of Labour, Plant and Material resources
• Management of programme Performance Management:
• Productivity reporting and providing information to support managing outputs
• Provision of mitigations to Performance Manager to support monthly operations reporting
• Focus on driving improved performance on daily basis
• Supports and contributes to continuous improvement
• People management responsibilities, identifying emerging talent and ensuring succession planning is robust
Financial and Commercial: • Supporting BBLP commercial team for cost recovery
• Hot costing to ensure cost centre profitability
• Embedding the use of IT solutions to ensure accurate information is captured by Operatives and sub contractors
• Identifying, agreeing and recording change
• Provision of quotations
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
• Experience of working on a Highways Maintenance Contract
• Detailed knowledge of Street Lighting maintenance
• NERS/HERS certificated role
• Good level of Business Acumen
• Good interpersonal skills; communication, can provide clear direction,
• Excellent organisational skills
• Adaptable to changing situations
• Team work
• Root cause problem solving
• Commercial Awareness – understand cost of doing business, SLAs and KPI;
• Understanding of works programming
• Use of IT systems; specifically confirm and excel
