We're looking for a SHE Manager to join our Natural Resources Team working on projects in the Thames Valley region. In this role you'll oversee the design phase of construction projects on wastewater treatment upgrades and resilience works.
Location: Working from home and site/offices as and when required across the Thames Valley region (Oxfordshire/Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Surrey).
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
As a SHE Manager you'll lead the SHE Team to a high-performing state, where they provide a high level of technical and strategic support to the Operations teams and, together, drive a ‘best in class' SHE performance, focusing on continuous improvement across the Thames Water Framework.
Your day to day will include:
* Responsible for implementing the SHE strategy, you'll lead and drive a team to promote safety and ensure mitigation against risk.
* Grow and lead the Southern Water SHE team, implementing the safety management system in line with the Kier IMS.
* Work closely with the operational teams to support them in fulfilling their SHE responsibilities.
* Provide timely and effective operational SHE support and advice to the project team and ensure operational compliance with approved SHE procedures.
* Ensure that all SHE reporting requirements are provided accurately and promptly and that all accidents, incidents, and near misses are effectively investigated, contributing to Incident Review Boards as required.
What are we looking for?
This SHE Manager is great for you if you are:
* With prior SHE experience you'll be degree, NVQ or NEBOSH Diploma qualified in Safety, Health & Environmental subjects, and hold strong knowledge and experience of construction safety.
* Membership in relevant professional institution with proven practical H&S experience working in the construction/utilities sector.
* Experience in managing a team of H&S professionals.
* Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Standards.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
