We are seeking a Facilities and Laboratory Safety Officer to join DPAG's facilities team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with experience in health and safety within a research or laboratory setting. You will have strong communication skills, the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in laboratories and research facilities.
2. Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
3. Maintain safety documentation, including COSHH records and SOPs.
4. Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance and hazardous waste disposal.
5. Provide safety training and emergency preparedness support.
Selection Criteria
1. Degree-level education with experience in laboratory safety.
2. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessments.
3. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
