WHAT TO EXPECT
This is an excellent opportunity for a Toolmaker to join our Tooling & Pressed Parts department, where you will work entirely from our world-class Land Rover production facilities in Castle Bromwich and Solihull. Here, you will be working on our tooling, which is utilised to manufacture our exquisite automobiles. In your work as a Toolmaker, you will carry out preventative Die maintenance on our press tooling, as well as die repair and engineering changes. You will be able to design change activities and die adjustments, as well as use your sharp eye for detail to discover problems and do root cause analysis. You will offer Die maintenance assistance to maximise production efficiency and maintain Tooling needed to press aluminium into its beautiful shape, allowing us to continue creating our world-class goods that are admired all around the world.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
* Supporting and driving performance on all press and blanking lines that include dies.
* Working independently and as part of a team to address die repair and reconditioning tasks.
* Engineering changes and die modifications.
* Problem solutions and root-cause analysis for reliability and quality standards.
* Planning your own manufacturing methods/operations and workflow to ensure the finished part is to specification.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Indentured / modern apprenticeship or minimum level 3 qualification with relative experience in toolmaking.
* Previous experience in a press tool production or maintenance setting.
* Demonstrates strong teamwork skills and a positive mindset.
* Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
